One small thing I just have to mention

It’s means “it is” (or to be annoyingly pedantic about it, it’s could mean “it has.”

The possessive is spelled without an apostrophe: its

It’s the Roku’s remote. The Roku adores its remote.

Your proofreader should catch this. Unfortunately, they don’t always.

Now that I’ve posted it, we never have to visit this again.

Mercenary — “serving merely for pay or sordid advantage; greedy” Marrying solely for money or position is mercenary.  Unless the heroine/hero is also changing their mind about it every few seconds, it is not mercurial. As well, I would ask you not to use either "mercurial" or "mercenary" eight times in ten pages.  As a romance reader, I thank you for your consideration.
